DOC

Long time a very popular shopping center for citizens and tourists in Dubrovnik, located in Lapad.

Shopping center with no actual name, but locally called "DOC" was and still is one of more popular places for shopping in Dubrovnik.

Lots of cafe bars, some shoe stores ("Shoe-Be-Do", Puma, Adidas, Reebok) and fashion stores (Sisley, UC Benneton, Miss Sixty, Boutique Q, Boutique Stil..) "DM" drug-store and even more cafe bars! OTP Bank has it's branch-office on the side of the building and there are also a few ATM's around the building. Two gift shops are inside (Funky fish).

On the ground floor (or basement, depends on which side you enter) there is also a big supermarket with a big parking lot. If you are staying in the Lapad area, this is most probably your stop for groceries as the supermarket also sells fresh fish and meat.

At DOC is also the luxury accessory boutique chain "Karla" which sells brands such as Abro, Lloyd, Mafer, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Piero Guidi, Kenzo and more.

Don't miss the opportunity during the daytime to check out the coffee drinking culture of Dubrovnik, there are 3 café bars to choose from, with seating on a large terrace. You don't have to pay for your coffee, or any other drink, when you order it. The waiter/waitress will take your order, and yes all of them speak English. The Croatian word for coffee is Kava. Here are some tips to help you order the coffee you want:

With a lot of milk. Ask for "Bijela kava".

Lots of milk with foam. Ask for "Cappuccino".

An espresso coffee drink with a small amount of milk. Order a "Veliki Macchiato".

You like a small, strong coffee with a dash of milk. Ask for a "Macchiato".
